Watch Out For Nunchucks In March!

Nunchuck Month

Putting A Spotlight On Nunchucks

For the month of March, Martial Journal is bringing you something a little different. We are calling it Nunchuck Month! This means you might notice more articles appearing on Martial Journal that are about, or relating to, nunchucks. There will be articles about nunchucks that are serious in nature. You will also find satirical articles featuring nunchucks, correctly spelled or not.

Don’t Worry, We Haven’t Hit Ourselves On The Head With A Nunchuck…Too Many Times Anyway…

Don’t worry, this does not mean that no other articles will appear on the site. The Nunchuck-related content will be in addition to the great content you can always expect at Martial Journal. You will be able to identify Nunchuck related content as one of two pictures will appear at the top of the article. Our very own Rob Domaschuk was kind enough, and awesome enough, to come up with them for the occasion. You can probably figure out which logo goes with the serious content, and which goes with the satirical.

It All Started With A Comment…

So how did we decide to do this you ask? How many great stories have started like that? I know a few for sure. Well, that’s exactly how it started for us, the editors. We talk in a group almost daily about things relating to Martial Journal. Most of the time the conversation is about ideas to help grow Martial Journal or assigning articles to editors and scheduling them. However, sometimes the conversations go off the rails and get comical. While this started as a funny, off-handed comment about legalizing nunchucks, we thought that it would be a good opportunity to offer to our contributors to offer their thoughts about a weapon popular in many styles of martial arts.

We hope you enjoy the Nunchuck-content this month on Martial Journal. Additionally, If you would like to join Martial Journal as a contributor, simply email editors@martialjournal.com with your interest and submit a potential article(nunchuck or not) for us to review.
